Svenska Industriborstar i Västerås AB (SIB) has been granted a €1.94 million contract by Iceland's airport operator Isavia ohf. to provide premium airport sweeper cassette brushes for use at Keflavík International Airport. The purchase guarantees ongoing safety and operational effectiveness at the nation's primary aviation hub.

Providing Runway Safety and Winter Readiness

The delivery of cassette brushes for Aebi Schmidt sweepers (TJS-560 and TJS-630 models)—essential equipment for keeping runways safe and clean, particularly during Iceland's harsh winter conditions—is covered by the contract, which was awarded under open procedure U25005.

With two one-year extension options, the agreement's initial three-year term could potentially be extended to five years. Keflavík Airport, which serves most of Iceland's international flight traffic, will benefit from the supply arrangement by having more efficient runway maintenance operations.
